Final Project Lina Zegrani-Monro

                                                            "daughters of the moon"

INSTRUCTIONS :

"Eve's tears dropped like soft white, lustrous orbs. Pearls are daughters of the moon born in the sea.

Take some pearls from the source, start slowly to squeeze them against you.

Find a common language of contact, a closeness in which you embrace and cherish one another.

A soft dance will be dictated by your delicateness, and your will to feel those tiny beads against your skin. Pressure them the closest as possible, as you accumulate them in every zone of your body, try not to let them fall.

Allow them to find space in the folds of your epidermis,

reveal your grace,

treasure one another.

Tonight, your female body turns into moving a shell."

For this final project, we decided to do group project for one of Arena's night,
in wich under the sky of cassipoea, decided to exchange are performances.
Indicated by instructions, objects, we wrote Some relevant things to do on this very special evening.

The bute being of a kind of revelation, sublimation and honor to our women's bodies. In a spiritual way, by appealing to our senses but leaving freedom to the other of interpretation by his own feelings. We left ourselves confident in the choice of performances and their nature.

So I chose to write "daughters of the moon"
the title is chosen by the weight carried by the symbolism of the pearl, symbol of femininity and related to Venus and many stories and legends,
what interested me here was to leave a choreography to free interpretation in which the body is constrained by the number and the smallness of the object.

What interests me is to see how these two bodies can enhance each other. A carnal and mineral dance.
Between the hardness and imobility of the shell is the ease of the still warm skin kind of comparison between one and the other. I knew the pearls would roll in an indomitable, untenable way their own character.
wild jewelry
the performer's body must strive to adapt to it, exploring its own characteristics but also discovering its own.
The goal is that the pearls end up with the discovery of sensation and discovery of one's own body and expressiveness.

Also the object containing the pearls was a pieace of mine from glass blowing workshop in wich i chose for his organic shape looking like a shell, a shell of my own breath, wich is very important in my performance also. I was really happy to share this with Angelika who interpretated an amazing choregraphy out of it.

The only trace of this night are the object, and instructions i prepared also than the publics photography.

That night in my part of the trade, i was performing Paula's work.
